Altruistic babies? Study shows infants are willing to give up food, help others

Within Principled Innovation’s bioecological systems theory, our character assets may be shaped by both nature (biology) and nurture (ecology)—and altruism is a classic example. This article describes a study showing how small children have a tendency to help others in need, even at a cost to themselves, and that this tendency can be nurtured through social interaction.
